Security & Data Handling
Effective: 2025
We take the security of your data seriously. This page summarizes how your information is stored, protected, and accessed. It complements our Privacy Policy, which describes what we collect and why.
Where your data lives
Your data is stored on Supabase infrastructure hosted in the United States. Profile photos and other uploads are kept in protected storage with restricted access.
Encryption
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS/HTTPS) between your device and our servers, and encrypted at rest on the database and storage layers.
Access control
Access to your data is restricted by row-level security rules so that users can only see what they’re permitted to. Administrative access is limited to authorized operators and used only to keep the service running, investigate reports, and comply with the law.
Authentication
Sign-in is handled through trusted authentication providers (including Sign in with Apple and email-based login). We do not store your raw passwords.
Trust & safety
Community safety features — trust scores, post-event feedback, blocking, and reporting — help keep interactions safe. Reports are reviewed and acted on, and serious concerns are escalated to the appropriate authorities as required by law.
Data retention & deletion
You can update or delete your information in the app at any time, and you can request full account deletion. We retain data only as long as your account is active or as needed to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Third-party processors
We share data only with the service providers essential to operating the app (such as Supabase for database/auth/storage, Apple for in-app purchases, and an email provider for communications). We never sell your data.
